How do I resize without stretching or distorting?
Keep the aspect-ratio lock on (the padlock between width and height), or use Fit mode with any target box — the image scales proportionally. Only Stretch mode can distort, and it says so.
What do Fit, Fill and Stretch mean?
Fit shrinks the image until the whole picture fits inside your box. Fill covers the box exactly and crops the overflowing edges — ideal for thumbnails and social tiles. Stretch forces the exact size regardless of shape.
Can I make an image bigger?
Yes, but plain upscaling spreads the same detail over more pixels, so it can look soft — the tool warns you when a target exceeds the original. AI upscaling that adds detail is planned for Pro.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. SqueezePix runs entirely in your browser — files are opened and processed on your own device and never transmitted anywhere. You can even load the page, go offline, and keep working.
